its always the ones with most show experience! I swear it is! I was
showing Jas at a little 4H show and just about to go in the ring when
a woman who was showing and winning at the national level on
saddlebreds as a ten year old kid, a professional trainer and lesson
coach for children, stopped to chat, smiling, trying to be helpful and
put me at ease. I said "gosh he's so laid back he's gonna look
depressed compared to all those others" and she said "Take him over
there in the parking area behind a truck and whip him, just whip him
under the belly cause if the judges see any marks sometimes it turns
them off" and she smiled real big and friendly like she was just
being so helpful! I swear my jaw just DROPPED. I was absolutely
STUNNED. I have been keeping track of the local people who volunteer
to work with children, and because I work for government I know lots
of locals who work for the USDA and 4H stuff and I swear if any of
these people ever show up in ANY position of authority at a 4H show I
will drop a dime on them so fast it'll make their dang head spin!
