We're having the same discussion on the IHSGB list in the UK, with
some interesting comments. Some people can see the problem, others
really can't and are getting pretty upset.

Anyway, a friend came up with an interesting suggestion:

I think this is a brilliant idea - not quite so harsh as carding, but
it does let people (riders and spectators) know that judges are not
happy.
