I don't think that was part of the story... it seems that the point was that the guy had a bolting horse, the other horse people told him to beat the horse, and Magnus had previously told him to find out the reason for the behavior. The End. It probably would have made the story more interesting and educational if they solved the bolting problem :-) Judy
