We are lucky because none of us here wants to beat our horses to be
Compliant...but lets not forget we are not the only ones that own
(have the right to care for and love) these wonderful beings.....

This is true. When I asked the person I bought my filly foal from, that is
exactly what he told me to do. She was just weaned, never been around a human
much less touched by one and each time I went in to her stall she was as
nervous as a cat with a room full of rocking chairs. She would turn her butt
to me and put her head in the corner. I asked this person what I should do,
He said for me to hit her every time she did that. I maybe a novice, but I
knew if I ever hit her she would never get over it.
I got better advice from several folks on these horse lists. Now she comes
running to me when she sees me and the terrified look in her eyes is
completely gone.
