Lucky, lucky horses - Oh, that all horses knew that kind of care. The two here get daily handling and that's one of the things that's wonderful about having them at home. They are fed 3 times a day and get mostly daily brushings. Since my office window looks out over their yard, I can watch them and note if there are any lameness issues or unusual behavior. I think catching the "itchies" early is key to successfully handling those issues. I use M-T-G lotion and found it to work really well this year with itchy spots. I use a small water trough so I can dump it daily or every other day -I have always had a thing about not liking to see dirty water in the horse troughs.
