Janice, It is your compassionate heart that causes you to grieve for the unprotected. I had a woman who did the hiring for the drivers who drive the Special Ed buses in our district. She said she chose people who kept animals. She apologized for how that sounded, but she said the same desire to nurture and protect usuallly carried over into all areas of a person's life.
