My father lived in the hills in Covington, KY. His home overlooked the Ohio River on top, on a place called Kenton Hills. I do remember the humidity and then at my grandparents place in Cincinnati, the heat was unbearable in the upstairs bedroom. I was born in that area and have not wanted to go back. I went to Tennessee once or twice and about died of claustrophobia. Florida is the same way I have to get out on a bridge and look to see a view. Fortunately my mother lives on the beach in Jupiter, Florida or I could not stand going there either. I have a little hill here where I live and it looks at the mountains. It did not burn, just lost some roofing and branches. Small items like my out buildings are on the West side of the property now and they used to be on the East side. The wind here was about eighty to a hundred miles per hour during the fire storms. Its all in what you get used to I guess. I have been here for forty years. I guess I am a Californian now. Sylvia
