on a serious note, what is it with men, and some women too, where they are so afraid of being embarrassed on a horse. i think it must be people who have never been a primary caregiver of a baby and think its the end of the world to be publicly humiliated by a goofy kid or animal :) My husband is always saying "oh I am so embarrassed..." about his horse! That is about the STUPIDEST. he will actually not GO somewhere out of fear of embarrassment. and besides that he don't know what EMBARRASSED is compared to things I have lived thru, here I am an aging big fat woman, I need a three step stool to waller onto my 13.1 hh icelandic for godssakes, wherever I go everyone just STARES at me. and for some reason I am drawn to SHOW people I am as good as anyone so invariably there I am in some yuppie gathering with all these scrawney gorgeous young dressagy girls wearing low rider tights so their young flat belly will show and their pierced navel ring and their perky little breasts with no bra and there I am, i feel like kongette or something and people will look like they are embarrassed for ME like I am just an eyesore out there. But I have to show em. I have to show em my horse will cross that little wooden bridge when there's won't, my horse will swim the creek when there's won't.... and there's my husband oh he's so embarrassed. gimme a BREAK. thats my rant for the day haha Janice -- yipie tie yie yo
