I can't remember how old she is, but I'll bet it isn't very long. I bought a large 14.1 grade pony named Dusty. I was unpleasantly surprised when I got him home and discovered that I couldn't catch him even on a really small grass pasture. The bad part of this story is that I finally completely lost it and threw the rope at him. When it landed on his neck, he stopped dead in his tracks. He had come from Texas, and my guess is that he had been roped. It wasn't long before we could walk right up to him and halter him, but he always remained hard to catch inside his unless I could drop the lead line over his neck or back. I felt sorry for him that he had a negative experience ingrained so deeply that it came back to him every time he felt cornered. Nancy >
