>>> I don't have a problem with the use of a non-tight noseband but I don't think you can tell how tight it is from a photo at that angle not saying that it is really tight, just that you can't really tell.
Maybe it didn't come across in the photo downsized for e-mail (although it looks pretty clear to me) but on the book cover here in front of me, you can easily see shadows and a gap where the noseband is not close to the horse's nose. The main thing though is that she placed it so differently than Laura did, Jane's is much higher on the nose. It's just not the same at all and I think that's pretty apparent. >>>> Her reins are relaxed which is great and the horse's ears are up but >>>> that can be attained pretty easily with the shake of food, a silly face >>>> etc.. I've seen Jane ride in person, and I have had 8 of her DVDs since last year. I also saw her give Lynn Palm a lesson - that was a real treat. It's apparent in the way she rides that there's more going on than any cheap tricks, like shaking a bag of food. That's the great thing about videos in general - we should be more easily able to get a clue when "bad moments in time"....and "good moments" are manufactured or are real. I just splurged and bought her brand new Happy Horse set. It's 20 ( TWENTY) DVDs, with 20 Audio CDs, the manual, and her "Winning Attitude" book. This should keep me busy for the rest of my life I think... :) Believe me, if I see any trickery or anything more than a genuine "bad moment in time" I'll report it. But, in 28 DVDs I think it will become evident if the horse is only "looking happy" due to tricks. Karen Thomas, NC
