> Hello, I'm a new member to this group. I am partners with a beautiful silver dapple Icey mare named Ro.
Hi and welcome Ro's partner. (I'm sure you'll tell us your name later on. : ) >She may be the only one registered in North Dakota (at least as of the last stats in the USIHC mag). Quite possibly she is. But the USIHC stats are not conclusive for an accurate count of Icelandic horses. There are quite a few in the States who aren't registered, or registered in another registry. For example, I have a gelding who is registered in the Canadian registry. I think their system is light years ahead of the US's, so being a gelding, I see no merit or sense spending money to have him registered in the US registry. > (I'm in the "silver hair" crowd) I think you'll find that's the majority of Icelandic owners here in the States. (I'll be 46 in a few months myself, but I diligently and vainly cover those silver hairs!) -- Renee M. in Michigan -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
