I'm so gimpy and clumsy... when i first started riding Teev, he would get aggravated that I did all that wallering around up there and tail swish and start walking, ears back. he was like GET ON with it! I have a fear of steapping down and leaving a foot in a stirrup because my legs are so short I could end up just hanging there...
Now he has gone not only full circle but too far the other direction. he yawns and relaxes and puts a foot up while I am wallering around up there, which often shifts his weight so dramatically I have to grab hold of the offside girth billet to hold on so I dont flip over his head haha i know that sounds just unbelievable on a 13.1 hh horse! I rode with a spotted saddle horse mare this weekend btw who was Teev's height. and she looked normal sized to me :) the rider was real tiny and I said "well you look just right sized on her, I bet I look like mama cass on a mini," and she laughed and said "actually I was just thinking you look right sized on him" Janice -- even good horses have bad days sometimes.
