"It's not a pony", yes, but more in an "it can carry an adult and isn't usuallysuitable for teeny tiny kiddies" joking sort of way rather than a hit you if you mention the P word sort of way. Saddles and trainers, no, not really. They've always been marketed as needing correctly fitting saddles, ideally NOT the old fashioned British saddle that puts you automatically into a chair seat but one in which you seat straight. As for trainers, over the years marketing has generally suggested that if people have a youngster or are new to Icelandics it's a good idea to get some lessons with someone experienced in the gaits (bearing in mind that 90% of people in the UK had never even seen a gaited horse) when they want to work on the "different" gaits.
