Yup. Not everyone likes endurance riding either. AND there are good participants in that sport and very bad ones. I shudder when I look at the vet reports ... the vets seem to want to write off deaths as nothing much. I remember one vet report that said the owner was a kind and caring owner...a horse died for gawd's sake... Mostly I have a bad taste in my mouth over endurance riding because we have a neighbour that's very very bad and has an awful reputation around here. It's refreshing to hear you describe your experiences and learn about all the thought that goes into your decisions... I'm out hear listening :) Anyway... I have absolutely no problem with what anyone does with their horses, as long as they are practising good husbandry. But when they tend not to want to learn - and listen to whatever quack comes their way...that's when I have a problem. Man...we've all made mistakes, but hopefully we learn from them. Wanda
