There are a FEW issues with color that I DO think are important - the link to ASD with silver dapples, the fatal "lethal white" combination, etc. That's part of responsible breeding.
That thank good don´t exist in the Icelandic breed!! But also something to consider regards to color and breeding is that if you don´´t wacht out you can become to loose some color out of the breed as for some years ago the roan color was down to 0,01% of the breed.......... and splashed white are rare and a kind of difficult to breed also but silver dapple are not rare and not difficult to breed either........
