Yeah yeah yeah - there's also an American saying "A Good Horse Deserves a Beautiful Color"! I figure I spend more time looking at my horses than I do riding them so I may as well get a lot of pleasure looking at them as well. And I unashamedly LIKE the more exciting colours. I would not buy a horse JUST because it's an interesting colour - but given the choice of two that were alike in most respects and one was some exciting colour, I would probably go for that one. Same when breeding - I would not use a stallion (or a mare) just because it's silver dapple blue dun roan pinto splashed white (!) etc etc, but if it had good conformation, temperament and gaits, I would love to use it.
