[IceHorses] Foals at evaluations

The judges made the comment to a friend that  brought 2 yearlings from 
Indiana that you could tell the most about gaits and  conformation in the 
really 
young foals.  The comment was also made that it  was most difficult between 1-3 
years old.  I really wonder how true this  is.  Most babies really pick their 
feet up for that "big lick".  
     Barbara Frische (one of the German judges) also  made the remark about 
Stormur that she had probably judges 5000 (yes five  thousand) young horses and 
she had never seen one as tall as Stormur.  I  would really like to know how 
their numbers as foals and young horses held up as  adult riding horses.  Is 
this data published anywhere?
