We didn't have Arnie, our Yorkie (who is now 9 lbs at 1yr 3 mos) fixed until he was 8 mos old. I wanted to make sure he had a chance to lose all his puppy teeth. He still had quite a few that hadn't fallen out with the new one growing in at 6 mos. The vet said to wait a bit and if they didn't fall out by then they could pull the baby teeth when he got neutered. The rest fell out by 8 mos. -- Anna Southern Ohio
