Oh no, Lucy is not loose when she's outside with me, she's on a retractable
leash at all times. She would be under the horses' feet in a New York
minute otherwise. I have a clip attached to the handle of her leash and I
either have her hitched to my belt loop, or I clip her to things as we go
along doing our chores.

Cate is our 70 lb. Aussie cross and she is sooo very careful with Lucy.
Lucy is relentless is pestering her and though Catie makes the ugliest faces
at her, it's all bluff. Cate will even lay down so that Lucy can reach her
face during "wrestling matches". But then, Cate is 6 years old and past
the exhuberant puppy stage.

Lucy is just plain naughty and won't come -- well, not all the way. She'll
keep zipping near, but just out of reach. Tremendous fun -- for her.

I can't believe how attached I am to the little squirt. I so thought I was
strictly a "big dog" person. But I love my baby dog.
