I don't know about those being "naturally high headed" as much as "swan-necked." A head can be set high coming from the shoulder, with the shoulder having a more vertical angle, no matter what the length of the neck. I don't care at all for those swan-necked horses - they remind me of that dinasaur Fred Flintstone is using at the start of his cartoons, where he's using the head as a front-end loader. Lord, I HOPE we never see that in this breed, although I know some breeders are now breeding Icelandic's for "long necks." It makes me shudder. It doesn't bother me at all that there is some variation in necks and headsets in this breed, but I hate that particular extreme. JMHO though. Karen Thomas, NC
