i would at least be interested in the method acquiring this, as well as 
some code snippets/patches ofc. does it break compatibility or is it 
just a feature enhancement?
maybe you'll create a feature request in the nsca section on 
dev.icinga.org, add some description as well as the patch as is. (we 
organize development with the dev tracker, not with mails on the lists 
here - things get lost too soon).
