Hello --
I completed the installation of the icinga-web 1.7 interface, and while I can
access it there is no data present
on-screen. I checked the troubleshooting page, and the first place I looked was
the icinga.log file. There
was no mention of IDOMOD in any entry. The ido2db daemon is running, and is
configured to automatically
start on system boot.
I next checked the icinga.cfg file, and I inserted the following text at the
end of the file:
define module{
module_name ido_mod
path /usr/local/icinga/bin/idomod.o
module_type neb
args config_file=/usr/local/icinga/etc/idomod.cfg
}
However, when I ran the verification command syntax on the new version of the
file, the following error
message appeared on-screen.
Reading configuration data...
Error in configuration file '/usr/local/icinga/etc/icinga.cfg' - Line 1487
(NULL value)
Error processing main config file!
***> The name of the main configuration file looks suspicious...
Make sure you are specifying the name of the MAIN configuration file on
the command line and not the name of another configuration file. The
main configuration file is typically '/usr/local/icinga/etc/icinga.cfg'
***> One or more problems was encountered while processing the config files...
Check your configuration file(s) to ensure that they contain valid
directives and data definitions. If you are upgrading from a previous
version of Icinga, you should be aware that some variables/definitions
may have been removed or modified in this version. Make sure to read
the HTML documentation regarding the config files, as well as the
'Whats New' section to find out what has changed.
What am I doing wrong here, and how can I correct it? Also, I checked the two
files mentioned in the
path and args lines, and while the idomod.cfg file is present, the idomod.o
file was not to be seen. Is this
latter file generated when everything is working properly?
