--- Start of Idrisi List message I am buffering around points so as to conduct landscape pattern analyses within certain distances of the points. 2 problems: The first is that the points are clustered and the buffer areas overlap. This makes it impossible to extract summary stats from individual buffer areas. The second problem is with maintaining site Id's (from Idrisi Id of each point) when buffering. I would like to have an image where each isolated buffer circle has cell values of the particular point id that it buffers - for use in EXTRACT. Does anyone have any suggestions to either of those problems. The first has me really concerned because I don't want to have to manually go through and pull overlapping sites apart into separate images.
