No push in that direction on any SPF or IETF list I know, in fact discussing 2822 originator header fields on SPF lists would be on the border to "off topic" (excl. PRA for various and known reasons). A "part of the push" sounds like more than one or two contributors, are you talking about Doug's TBR draft ? That's IMO no SPF-TNG, it might be a kind of SMTP-TNG.
