To find some projects which are headed by their own people? To feel proud
that some individuals or companies contribute to O-S? To encourage other
Israelis to do so by putting them in the list?

Perhaps. However, there are individuals who are Israeli. I believe even
Moshe Bar commented in one of his lectures that many non-Israelis
criticized Israelis or Israeli companies for "not giving back to the
community". While I don't find anything wrong at using O-S without
substnatially giving anything back, this statement is not entirely true.

Perhaps it would be better to have a directory of Israeli _individuals_
with links to their home-sites, and mentioning their claim to fame.

Whatever. I'm still ambivalent.
