Well, Dotan Kamber asked it on the latest meeting on #jlc. I also recall a
previous request. I suppose I can post a request-for-comments article on it
on whatsup.org.il or wherever to see if this is a problem that people face.

Are you sure? From what I was told some ISPs block access to all non-Israeli
IRC ports. irc.kde.org is not in Israel.

It's not an issue of better things to do. We can have IRC and other things as
well. The crackers are an issue. The question is what do we have to fear:
some extra traffic? cracking attempts? And naturally we may harm the good
guys because of abuse of the bad guys.
