OK, maybe I over-exaggerated a bit. However:
1. Aren't there single-process machines with a maximum 8 GB or 16 GB?
2. Re 64-bit architecures (not necessarly x86-64) - don't they have single or
dual-CPU machines whose memory can scale to a bit more than 4 GB?

"2.5GB" - you probably meant "2.5 TB". Anyway, I'm not too concerned on what
the machine itself will be as long as it can run Debian Etch and meets the
bottom specifications.
