3) if u want to use IM client that see gtalk supported IM list --

kopete, and pidgin ,, I personally like pidgin

4) if you a *"James bond"* then you can try out installing above IM clients
from source with giving parameter  --enable libjingle -- something

5) for other VIOP options ,
--  5.1 ) u can use skype , that work in Linux well

6) you also also look for http://thecoccinella.org/ -- a IM with whiteboard
support. is support Jingle also, But Coccinella's VoIP is not compatible
with Google Talk !
