Support for libjingle in pidgin is part of Google SoC (summer of code) this year and the work on it is going well (you can check the status online). libjingle support for pidgin will appear from version 3 of pidgin. I remember reading that code is working for the developer and I think you can download it from cvs or some place (it is available for testing by the author).
