Wireless problem solved.
The problem is that broadcom drivers for this card are not part of the main
kernel and need to be separately compiled/installed.

Incase anyone else has the same problem, you can follow the instructions for
the stock 2.6.26 debian kernel here: http://jomcode.com/fadhil/?p=59

If you're using the 2.6.29 kernel, a patch (and maybe a saridon also) may be
needed. (
http://www.leprosys.net/files/broadcom-sta-5.10.79.10-linux-2.6.29.patch).
