How to uninstall tar balls ? Got upto some extend satisfactory replies but... This is no way to retain your make folders for uninstallation in future !! I mean that... It is something that I have to do specifically to uninstall a package ! IS THERE NOTHING THAT LINUX PROVIDE TO UNINSTALL TAR BALLS ? Now... I installed a bin package... ? Now again its a non-rpm and a non-yum package !! Now how to install BIN packages ?? The problem remains that there is no clear way to uninstall something.. Its lame to say but windows provide a Add and Remove for uninstalling... I know that linux system is way better but there should be some clearity of thought process in uninstalling a package ? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Do you have another question?
