(which you deleted), you posted that its a joint meetup of 6 different cities. My reply "Err then I am not attending" means that in that case, I will not attend, as it is a deliberate meetup of people from far-and-wide, which makes this as a confused platform for me. The concerns are not about Delhi anymore, but for Northern India or dunno-what-region. I have too little time on my hands to involve myself in issues I cant help. btw, Isnt this the same as "I do not have any asscoiation with O-word<http://nsisodiya.posterous.com/i-do-not-have-any-association-with-osscamp>" in a way ? Sadly, I am not a FOSS-rockstar like you, and people dont drool over my feet due to over-exposure to awesomeness; so my association or disassociation with any initiative has no meaning (unlike yours). All I can do is not participate in what I think is a mistake (yes, this is very very subjective and personal). Should I not say things openly even when I believe in them? > > As I was expecting this from you. I wrote city name because people are > coming from that city. > Oh, but I am from Patna. So was the previous meetup a Delhi/NCR/Patna meetup? Asking, because I want to be clear about this. > You are the person who have created a good amount of noise in mailing list. > I wish i could ban you because I have already receive 4 email on my > personal account to ban you. I wish if you can do it yourself. > If you have the conviction that I need to be banned, and have the courage to do it. Do it. Dont try to threaten me, I am not threatened in the least. Noise is a subjective term. I guess, what you mean is that I am speaking things that people think is "irrelevant" ? Or maybe, just maybe, I am helping avoid a group-think here. http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/groupthink Or every member of this mailing list is supposed to say: "Hey this is an awesome idea, since Narendra sir said so" ? If yes, I didnt sign up for it. > I have received a good amount of comment from various places that you spoil > every meetup including barcamp and osscamp too. > Oh please! if these people have the gall to stand up to these comments, let them come forward and say 'i spoil it'. If you are scared of despoiling this mailing list, ask them to post it on the o-word mailing list. I want to know what was spoiled for them and how I am evil. > None of your email is useful in last 3 days. You wrote more email then the > second you spent in the meeting. > My emails are not useful, in a way, because the members here are either avoiding a conflict, resisting change, or dont have enough brains to think for themselves. I never said 'I am right and Somebody is worng'. I am saying, 'I think this is wrong and perhaps this will make it right'. And I am saying that not to prove someone else wrong, but to really find out if it, indeed, is wrong or I am mistaken. If this mailing list is not for a discussion; what use is sycophancy? And yes I was outside more than inside in the previous meetup. Because, for me, that meetup was Fail. I spent time more usefully discussing 'Linux for game development' outside. It was an awesome discussion that lasted two hours, can you believe it? Instead of wasting time inside like others, I actually used it! Two parallel sessions ftw. There were a couple other participants in that discussion, who came because I wanted to continue the same discussion in the meetup too. But sadly, time ran out for me. I am not naming them since they requested not to be named. I, in turn, request them to come out in the open. > All you want publicity and resistance to what we are doing.. you better > concentrate on your work. > Will you publish a Hall of Fame and feature me there? What publicity can you give me ? And I am not resisting your efforts. I am opposing what i think is Stupid. And I am saying it openly with a desperate hope that it appears stupid to me, only, because, I am a fool and someone can correct me. All I hear in response is "you are a publicity hog and against growth of FOSS in India." But, lets assume I agree to all that you are complaining against: then isnt MY work all about creating noise - in barcamps, in o-words, in this mailing list, everywhere? > Thanks Good Bye Again. > You are welcome :) > > > >> more so since they dont have a very active LUG and, thus, this could be a >> better platform for them to get introduced to FOSS and LUGs and start their >> own thang! >> >> Anyhow, I think that is an organiser's prerogative.
