Dear Gaurav,
If it is a three month course-- then apart from your own OS-- you can
consider understanding deeply and conveying to your students a
understanding a existing "for teaching OS"-- like Minix (made by
Tannenbaum-- and used by Linus for basis of Linux) OR other similar thing.

The challenge with many Indian univs-- even IITs-- is that students have
fantasies of big money in Industry-- so anything they perceive as deep
knowledge and not directly related to their "Google Job" OR "Facebook Job"
ambitions they many times reject.

Moreover, many students-- whether in India or abroad-- do not have even
their basics clear-- so it makes sense to connect their coursework to what
they practically see.

A OS by you is practical-- but many students may not have the capacity or
depth to appreciate it properly.

Regards,

Nalin
