I am sure that you are absolutely correct in saying that the HP CD-Writer Plus 7200 
series is supported,  just as I am
sure that you understand the difference between the HP 7200i and the HP 7200e (the 
model I mentioned). Really
appreciate your effort in setting right the wrongs done by the "wrong" info  in my 
posting.

Of course, it goes without saying that if you feel I am wrong in assuming your 
correctness in this matter, you can
always checkup with the latest CD-Writing HOWTO at 
http://www.guug.de/~winni/linux/cdr/html/. It was released on 28th
September, 1999 -- that is if my memory serves me right...I could be wrong though!

Hmmm ! But when I last visited the cdrecord 'supported
devices site I remember that the 7200 series IS supported by
cdrecord-1.8.....
