I am at present trying to get my CASIO Digital Diary [BOSS
Model SF-5580] connected to my computer...
I would like to do this in Linux as I now spend almost 80%
of my time on the machine in this OS [ The latter 20% goes
in Wordprocessing in Word 2k for my Dad]....
But unfortunately most (make that ALL) of the resources I
found were based on the Win9x or DOS Platform ( and hence no
source code etc...)
Could somebody please send me URLS/Documentation/Advise/Info
on
#1. Protocols used in the transfer of Data from the Digital
Diary & the RS232 COM Ports or even Parallel Ports ?
#2. Any existing solutions to this end which may be ported
to Linux....
#3. Any Cabling Info/Schematics/Pin-Outs which you may have
come across [Pl provide URLs/Deatils of Books/Periodicals
(and if u know, of their availability and from where...)
#4. Any circuitry which can be used for this purpose...
TIA
INIGO
