I only wish to point out one small thing:
"Its not a good idea to mount anything non-temporary in the
/tmp tree."
Unix convention is that /tmp may be cleared at anytime; it usually is
at every bootup on most systems.
There's a /mnt directory provided for just such user-defined mount
points. Create a directory /mnt/win95 and mount the Windows file
system there (aaaaarrrgh!).
