Hi all:
I have just recieved this message from Thaths (Sudhakar Chandrasekharan), who is the
list admin, as well as one of
founders of LINUX-INDIA (the others being KD ie. K. Dakhsinamurthy and Arun Sharma).
For the benefit of those who have joined us lately. ILUG-Cal is the Calcutta city
chapter of Linux-India. The message
below is important, it brings our attention to the process that has been underway to
official register Linux-India as a
formal organisation.
As one of the city chapter of Linux-india, we have been asked to participate in the
process. We don't have too much time
to ponder on this issue. We have to nominate one representative from our usergroup to
represent us in the Linux-India
formalisation group. Friends, it is now our turn to answer to that call within the
next 48 hour. Please go through the
mail carefully and respond on the list ASAP.
regards,
--indra.

Subject: Registering Linux India
> Hi,
>
> It has been more than 2 years [1] since the Linux India mailing list was
> started. A lot has changed in this time. Several regional Indian Linux
> Users Groups (ILUGs) have sprung up. An issue of Linux Magazine even went

> number of LUGs!

> Linux India has been operating so far as a group of, to borrow a phrase,
> "communicating individuals". The time has come to formalize Linux India as

>
> Over the coming month we plan to hold a discussion about how Linux India

> Could each ILUG please discuss this in your mailing lists and nominate ONE
