Thanks for the vote of confidence.

I have been actively involved in the private discussion that has been going on between
a closed group comprising of --
KD, Thaths, Arun Sharma, Atul Chitnis, Gopi Garge, Dr. Gurunandan R Bhat, Raj Mathur
and myself regarding the modalities
of registering LI. As an outcome of our discussions we decided to do this in a
democratic fashion (we had good reasons
for not making the discussions public earlier, namely unscrupulous private parties
squatting on the LI namespace). And
hence Thaths' mail to all concerned.

I know, but look at it this way... we haven't had any real world activity is ages,
what the hell do we update the site
with?

No idea :(

Of course, send in suggestions/materials, how about submitting some original articles
written by the members? :)

A "Guestbook" is perhaps understandable, but a "forum" ? whatever for??? isn't
ILUG-Cal mailing list sufficient for
that?

I know that, in fact some time back I wrote a small script that displays the uptime of
the server which hosts our
site -- http://www.ilug-cal.org/showuptime.php3

But the point is without Russell's prior approval I am not going to allow the site to
have "loads of interactive
stuff"... come on... lets have some consideration for the guy who has been sponsoring
our hosting for so long!

Cheers,
--indra.
