Where did you get that proclamation from??

Care to explain what exactly you mean by that? rethinking by whom and on what?

I know it is hopelessly out-of-date and badly in need of updating.... but do you mean
it is my responsibility alone?
Whatever work has been done on that website (www.ilug-cal.org) was due to the efforts
put in by Arup Kanjilal and myself
before we went live with Linux Interact '99. We did it coz no-one else came forward to
do it... if the site doesn't get
updated it is the combined responsibility of the Calcutta Linux Users Group's and not
of a handful of individuals... if
no-one comes forward to manage the site it will remain as it is, till some of us who
had put in the effort earlier, have
some free time on hand to work on the site again. Also if you are interested to work
on it (the website) or voice your
opinions about the state of things you are welcome to do so by posting on the ILUG-Cal
mailing list.
> It is also a part of e-business. Rethink and i am waiting for your valuable answer.
To me it seems like you are the one who needs to undertake some re-thinking.... please
explain how exactly does
ILUG-Cal, a thoroughly volunteer effort of a group Linux users who wanted a common
forum has _anything_ to do with
e-business? Tell me something... have you read the ILUG-Cal Charter?
[ We are a group of Linux enthusiasts (and fanatics) in and around Calcutta who have
decided to come together and form
the ILUG-Calcutta. Our objectives are to provide a common forum for interaction
between fellow users located in and
around Calcutta, and help Linux gain acceptance and recognition in the city as well as
in the state of WB.]... --
ILUG-Calcutta Charter
About my personal commitments.... it is very difficult to speak about oneself, but I
do not think I have been anything
less than honest about my commitment in helping the cause of Linux-Indian community at
any time. I am not a
self-professed know-all or guru, all I have really tried to do has been to share
whatever little understanding I may
have gained about this OS during my association with it. I will leave it at that.
