dear sudip,
as far as i know, ALL internal pci-based modems are winmodems, whether they
say so on the box or not. kernel 2.4 is supposed to have some support for
winmodems, but it depends on the chipset. if it's motorola, it has a good
chance of being supported. so surf in windows until you've got 2.4.
