Hi all,
I am using the last Red Hat Distribution by PCQUEST on a P-233 MMX with 32
MB RAM,10.2 GB HDD,and an internal modem of make "Vintron" model no.
MD5628.And the problem is after repeated tries I am not yet successful in
configuring my modem in Linux.
Win 98 displays that the modem is connected to /dev/ttyS3 (COM4) and so I
have used setserial to configure /dev/ttyS3 ,also the /dev/modem is a link
to /dev/ttyS3.
I do not think that the modem is a winmodem (the manual doesn't say that
windows is necessary for the modem) but the manual says that the modem is
controllerless.
Will it possible to configure the modem?
