Yeah i think if we had an off shoot kernel that at base level was Micro and say had a separate file structure or was diverse in any manner we would lose consistency.
Re. the unified image i hear SuSe, and a couple of others have gotten together to create a Universal linux .. also to opose RedHat supremacy.. Has anyone here heard of performance stats on macro vs. micro ? Or is it just not fair to compare since the other parts that go ahead to make Linux POSIX compliant do not exist on the Micro kerneled O/S's ?
