As far as I can see the main advantage of codeweavers is the fact that they 
have taken this existing emulator/environment and added some features of 
their own to make configuration easier for people who have no prior 
experience in compiling source code or editing config files in vi. :-) And 
that I suppose is something we have to encourage in order to make more 
people switch to Linux. People want to get their work done, and if they 
feel the need to get msoffice on linux they should be able to do it with a 
minimum of fuss. Not everyone has the time, inclination or ability to 
config wine the hard way, but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't be 
using wine at all. That's where codeweavers come in. Anyway other than the 
installation and configuration part there is no real difference btw. 
codeweavers wine and the one shipping with say red hat. It's up to you to 
choose btw. Netscape and Mozilla :-)
