Thanks for the info. I have downloaded bangla fonts and run the command "setxkbmap" and now I can type bangla in gedit/kedit withoput problems.
I have also run: "localedef -f UTF-8 -i bn_IN bn_IN.UTF-8" But in the locale.dir there is no entry for bn_IN. Only an entry for bn_BD and . Is this alright? I have checked that the file /usr/share/i18n/locales/bn_IN exists. Now what is the next step? How do I get the menus of gedit in bangla? Also the desktop icons? I also want the keyboard to be mapped as in the exhibition. How to do that? If possible explain all these in the list or else give me some reference to website. - Thanks in advance Saugata --- Sayamindu Dasgupta <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > On Wed, 2003-01-29 at 08:55, saugata ghosh wrote: > > I am interested in doing the translation.
