Dear Debashish,

        The best study material is the manpages provided on the system, augmented with
your own acquaintance with the machine. Thus I suggest the following :

        ---> open up a Linux machine
        ---> these days you have a natural GUI, so that you can be totally
uninitiated about any command about Linux/Unix
        ---> play round with it for some days
        ---> if the following question occurs to your mind : how does such and such
"play" occur on a click, then try to find out the executable file that does that
"play", and the process starts; every possible documentation upto the raw code is
available on the system and it is your best help. (I assume that you do have a decent
Linux installation.)

        If you do not have a Linux instllation, first want to have a go with it, and
then install it, then my piece of advis is : well this is a never ending process, so
it i better that you give up any hope of getting it.

        And if you ask me the reason; the best way one learns to swim is y swimming;
the best way one gets to listen to a radio is by switching it on and listening to it;
the best way that one learns to take photographs is by taking photographs at random,
an so on, ad infinitum. The same applies to Linux.

        Sorry, I could not give any soothing solutions. But, there is "no Royal road
to " (Linux) [the actual quote is "no Royal road to Mathematics" ] Please do not get
disheartened; if you get my message correctly, there is a strong light of hope in it...

        With all my best wishes,
