I have a USB modem with my HP PC. But I cannot configured it with Mandrake 9.0 (although IO haven't checked it with RHL 8.0). Using harddrake I can see the modem is attached with USB port and system can recognise it. But during kppp configuration I have tested all device options for USB.
I think first step should be, creating a link between /dev/modem and the /dev/usbdevice. Then it will work. But the problem is how I will be sure that which USB device is responsible for the modem.
