Hi Sumeet,
I am familiar with the .xinitrc. but I am talking about the  
*default* xwindow. 4 an example just after  installing the RH if u type 
*startx* from a shell (still there is no .xinitrc) it starts the Gnome & not 
Kde. the opposite happens in MDK. so I am interested to know about the file 
which is responsible 4 this *default* desktop.
