Don't use RH 8.0 if you don't have any special reasons....
RH 9.0 will be a better option.

Mandrake 9.1's installation programme can handle NTFS resizing. I dunno
if it's reliable or not. I have used it for FAT32 resizing, and I would
recommend that you defrag the disk before doing anything..

Easy - just assign the appropriate IP address, gateway, DNS server, etc.
Then issue 
route add default eth0
(I am on DIAS right now)
