Nobody spoke about CD distribution at Compass. Actually they are not that abundant. Yes some people do give dvds of some distros for a price (with the free magazine)... but their cumulative readership and the actual number of people with PCs differ by huge margins. Again few people have dvdroms. And people in the city like to shop a lot. And people with some distros will like at least a few more. We must encourage them.
So we must either keep huge stocks of CDs of different well known and lesser known distros for sale at the compass or burn lots of them at the compass for a nominal fee.
This will help the public too. The other thing we can do is about books on linux...... we can possibly display a huge lot of them, possibly offer some on cds as well and possibly try other schemes as well.
