Yes, Anshul (IIRC), having come here to hear RMS speak, too, had given a
pretty good account of the proceedings on our list and I felt I couldn't
improve upon it. AFAIK, there are, unfortunately, no video recordings of
the speech, RMS having made a pre-condition to this effect.

Having been there, I came away with the impression that, while we all
have more or less an idea of his views and know what to expect, it is his
manner of putting it that is new and sometimes remarkable. He can be
quite a showman when he pleases. For instance, this time, towards the end
of his speech, he got up, put on a black surplice and a halo fashioned
out of an old computer disk and called himself "St Ignucius of the Church
of Emacs" and set out to baptize the audience into it!
